Queen Creek is a fantastic place to live, and the population of Queen Creek and San Tan Valley is estimated to hit 200,000 within the next seven years. Queen Creek has been a hub of new construction along with adding some great restaurants and shopping. Queen Creek features some of the nations top new home builders along with local favorites. This includes Toll Brothers, Fulton Homes, Taylor Morrison, Ashton Woods, Mattamy, Beazer, David Weekley, Landsea, and many more!
With the growth that our area has experienced it is natural that there are concerns about traffic and congestion. To address these concerns, the Town of Queen Creek has been actively working to relieve the congestion and plan for the future as well. State Route 24 is to be extended to connect Ironwood Road and expected to be completed in 2022. The town also worked through the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) to analyze future traffic patterns based on growth. They determined that extending both Signal Butte and Meridian Roads to State Route 24 is necessary to alleviate the traffic on Ellsworth and Ironwood Roads. This is promising for the future development of Barney Farms by Fulton Homes, Spur Cross, and the new Malone Place development featuring Mattamy Homes.
An Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Mesa for design and construction of Signal Butte Road and Meridian Road from Germann to State Route 24 was recently voted on by the Queen Creek Town Council. The project will be funded by the Town of Queen Creek, City of Mesa, and Pinal County accomplished through various agreements and reimbursements.
